The housing deficit in Paraguay is estimated in 1,100,000 houses and every year this statistic continues to grow. 43 out of 100 families live in inadequate and overcrowded conditions and approximately half of all the houses in Paraguay can be classified as inadequate.

Over a fifth of families across the country lack of legal tenure of their land and/or are illegally situated in areas such as streets, parks, private properties, and riverbanks.

This team of women builders will assist in constructing houses by carrying and mixing cement, digging septic systems and trenches for foundations, filling joints of the walls, and more.
