My Story

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. In January 2019, I will be heading to the city of Sololá, Guatemala to help build homes for some of the 1.8 million Guatemalan families who currently live in poverty and without access to safe, habitable housing. I will be volunteering as part of a team organised by the Residential Development Agents Society (RDAS).

Working at Savills within the residential development industry, the purpose of this trip felt very relevant to me and therefore I am really passionate about contributing towards this incredible charity.

Since 1979, Habitat for Humanity have provided over 36,500 housing solutions for families in need in Guatemala, alongside work in over 70 other countries worldwide.

As part of our trip, we will be working alongside the local community to build a house - from digging foundations to putting up a roof and painting walls. We will also be installing smokeless stoves in the new houses to help prevent respiratory diseases and provide a safer method of cooking for the families we are helping.

I will be very grateful for anyone who is able to sponsor me however small, I really appreciate your support.

Thank you very much.
