My Story

This year I volunteered and have been fortunate enough to be selected along with a contingent other colleagues for the Miller Homes Global Village trip to Malawi in East Africa with Habitat for Humanity in April/May 2019.

I have worked for Miller Homes for almost 16 years. During that time I have been involved in the building of many beautiful homes for a wide variety of our customers, delivering the Miller Difference. I believe that the Miller Difference can be translated by this scheme into providing a safe and happy community where families will thrive. .

I have a great career with Millers, which as a family man with a wife and 3 sons has enabled me to provide them a lovely home and a comfortable life. I now relish the opportunity to provide a least a safe place to live for a child in poverty. As I feel it is the basic right of every child to have a home.

As a qualified bricklayer myself, I see this a great opportunity to utilise my long forgotten skills(!!), in order to offer not only monetary but actual practical help.

Our team have an aim to build a minimum of 3 homes in the time we are in Salima.

I’d like to raise at least £1,000 for Habitat for Humanity before April and will be fundraising between now and then with other team members.

Give whatever you can (don’t forget Gift Aid It’s free money !!!).
