Aim is to help vulnerable and disaster-affected families gain access to safe, affordable housing.
Nepal’s urban housing demand is report as being at least 40,000 annually. This compounded by the 2015 earthquakes and 2017 flooding that together damaged approximately 900,000 homes, leaving them in need of repair or complete reconstruction, has increased the housing demand significantly. Habitat for Humanity Nepal is taking an owner-driven approach in assisting victims still living in temporary shelter rebuild their homes using a disaster-resilient design.
