My Story
Thank you for taking the time to visit my fundraising page.
Hello - I’m Emma, I am the marketing manager for CALA Homes (North) Ltd.
I am delighted to have been selected to take part in the CALA Build 2019 - Habitat For Humanity project along side nine of my colleagues.
Habitat For Humanity is one of the world’s leading housing charities which focuses on long-term development, aid and poverty alleviation and their mission is to build a safe environment where families and communities can thrive.
On the 1 February I will be making my way to Cambodia to embark on the HFH project. I’ll be working on a construction site building walls, laying blocks, installing doors etc (very different to my normal day job) - building homes for families living in poverty. Helping them to build strength, stability, and self-reliance through shelter.
It is an absolute privilege to have been selected to represent CALA and I cannot wait to participate in what will be a very challenging (both physically and emotionally) yet highly rewarding project.
Please make a donation to help change lives, no matter how small I promise it will make a difference. Help me smash my target of £1,000. What’s more, CALA will match fund individual fundraising up to £500.
Thank you,
Emma
15 December 2018 update: preparations for my trip are fully underway, I’ve received my visa, got all my vaccinations and fundraising activity #1 complete! Thanks again to everyone who has donated to date 😁 your support is greatly appreciated.
