My Story

In 2022, Jonathan, along with his Dad, friends and a team of enthusiastic and dedicated volunteers will be heading to Myanmar to build safe and secure homes.

This is Jonathan's second volunteering trip with Habitat for Humanity UK. In October 2018 he visited Recife, Brazil, where he spent a week refurbishing homes for incredibly poor families living in terrible conditions.

This time around, in Thanatpin, Bago District, Myanmar, there is an urgent need for disaster-resilient housing and toilets as it is one of the poorest communities in the country. Many families here harvest rainwater at home or fetch water from open ponds which leads to severe illness.

Jonathan and the team will be building disaster-resilient homes consisting of reinforced concrete, timber, CGI sheet roofing, and bamboo technologies.

Any donation, no matter how small or large will help Jonathan to provide the poorest families in the community with a roof above their heads and a safe home to live in.
