  • My Story

I believe everyone has a right to a home, a safe home, where they can eat, sleep, play and be with their family. Never more so since a dear friend introduced me to Habitat for Humanity, the work they do and the opportunities they offer to be part of the change in the world that is so desperately needed. I was in awe of the incredible work being done globally to help communities grow and develop. With encouragement and great support I signed up for a build in Brazil in 2018 and fell in love with the ethos, the team and even the hard graft. I am so excited to now be part of the Myanmar 2020 team, keen to work directly with home owners, local builders and other volunteers to offer labour and hope, acknowledgment that people around the world do care about the situation they find themselves in and wish to help where they can.
