LISA AND BETH DO NEPAL WITH HFH

My Story

In September we, Beth and Lisa, will be heading to Nepal with a group led by our good friend, Kirsty, to take part in a volunteer house build with Habitat for Humanity ("HfH").

During our time in Nepal we will assist people in the East region that live in poorly built thatched houses. During this build we will provide manual and technical assistance using local materials such as bamboo and mud plaster to construct new homes with brick foundations.  We'll be helping to build new homes alongside local workers and the families who need them.

Some of you will know we both did a similar project in Malawi in 2017 and it was pretty amazing. We loved helping with the build (although there's a chance we hindered more than helped our extremely patient local builders) and getting to know the country and the people. We are so excited to be able to take part in another HfH project.

Our fundraising target is £3,050. The first £1,000 of this target is a donation. The rest goes towards trip expenses. We and HfH would be very grateful for anything you are able to donate to help us on this important challenge.

Thanks so much

Big love, Lisa and Beth
