Olga's project with Habitat for Humanity India 2021
- My Story
Together with another 50 Aon colleagues I will be going to Pondicherry in India in January 2021 to work with families and the local community members to build homes for those in need. You may wonder why? So can you imagine not having a safe place to sleep or feed your family? This is unfortunately the reality and one of the biggest problems in India - lack of unsafe and inadequate housing.
I am so honoured to be embarking on this project, raising the money to fund this initiative which I am sure will result in transforming some families' lives and improve their living conditions. I recognise every day the priviledge I am lucky to have to live the way that I do so if the least I can do is to challenge myself to help others - and this project does exactly that!
Whilst I focus on raising the funds and polishing up my house building skills, I would appreciate any donations to support me on this journey - whether that's through many of the planned fundraising activities or through simply donating on this page.
Many thanks for your support,
*In regards to the COVID-19 outbreak, please be aware that Aon and Habitat for Humanity (H4H) remain fully committed to the India 2021 project. However the safety of the volunteers, employees and the community we plan to support, remains our utmost priority. At this stage we are continuing to fundraise and plan for project to take place. That being said, if it becomes apparent this is not feasible and the project is postponed the funds raised would still go to the charity and I would be eligible to attend a project at a later date. Thank you for your continued support and I will keep you fully updated as the we get closer to the project date.
