My Story

Hi everyone!

As some of you may already know, my passion for wanting to help others as much as I can is deep-rooted in me. I want to do more, I want to give back. There are families, young children, and elderly people, without the basic necessities. The things we as individuals couldn’t imagine not having? Clean water, a roof over our heads, family meals. In this sense, we are all privileged.

Every year I have a goal to do more for charity – to either provide funding for a house for another family or to work towards my bigger goal of building a school and providing education to those that have no access to it.

Over the past few years I have funded houses to be built in Bangladesh in the poorest/rural areas of the country. More recently I have provided funding for a deep well to be built to provide clean water to communities. However, my strongest passion has always been to be at the forefront of the projects. Making a real difference to peoples' lives and being able to witness it in person.

For this reason, I will be fundraising and heading out to Malawi in October this year (2020), to help build houses for families in need. Many children have been orphaned as a result of HIV and AIDS which has resulted in a number of households being led by children who cannot afford to look after the home. During this project I will be immersed into the community of the Mulanje region of Malawi, connecting with the families in need and carrying out the physical tasks of mixing mortar, building walls, laying bricks, installing doors and windows, and more!

To do this, I will need your help! I am aiming to raise a minimum of £2,100 which will contribute to the build - any amount of donation will be massively appreciated.

I will be sure to keep you updated on the progress during and after the build to show you how a little can quite literally go a very long way.

Thanking you all so much!
