My Story

I am so lucky to have the opportunity to travel to India with a team of people as part of the Miller Homes North East team to help build new homes in the village of Pondicherry, India. Having a home is something that most of us take for granted. Okay, we may have an affordable homes issue in this Country and a housing shortage but not of any scale relatable to communities in other parts of the world, with such extensive poverty. So when offered the opportunity to join them I was privileged to be able to say yes and see if we can help give something to other communities that will be life changing, both for them in their new communities and homes, but for me as an individual.

I hadn't come across this charity until this opportunity came about and I am blown away at what they achieve and how they empower families and communities to take ownership of their futures. As my friends, familys, colleagues you can help support make these life changing events happen with a donation, no matter how small. You can read more about the charity through their website www.habitatforhumanity.org.uk and I will be sharing the journey through my facebook account and twitter. Many thanks for any support you can give. It really means the world to people.
