About

Hello Everyone!

A team from Castle Rock Edinvar will be joining up with the Homes for Scotland team to assist in the redevelopment of family housing within Homa Bay Kenya.

In April 2019 our team of Graeme Yarwood, Chris Thomson, Les Hall, Fi Robson and Lynn Mark will participate in a house building programme to provide improved housing conditions to vulnerable communities. The work is aimed at offering a hand up so that the basic needs of a home can kick start a lasting legacy for positive change.

In Homa Bay 82% of the homes are made from mud and wood, an additional 6 % from corrugated metal. The housing conditions has left the community prone to security issues, inclement weather and increased health degradation as result of the living conditions.

Whilst our journey is self funded as part of our participation we need your help to raise funds for the build programme and much needed local support and would appreciate any donations you are able to give via our joint fundraising page.

Many thanks,

Graeme, Chris, Les, Fi and Lynn
